The year 2022-2023 was another very busy year for Montfort, Ontario’s Francophone academic hospital.
After having almost exclusively devoted the last few years to managing the pandemic, the hospital was finally able to resume more strategic activities. This annual report gives an overview.

No one knows our patients better than their loved ones. That’s why we allow them to be present at the bedside at all times.

Effective May 15, masks are recommended but they are no longer required in public areas outside of clinical areas, such as hallways, elevators, and the cafeteria.

A data security incident may have resulted in unauthorized access to some personal information provided by patients to Montfort after they were discharged from the hospital. There is no evidence that the information was used inappropriately; however, we are informing the concerned individuals.

Ms. Picard will continue to bring her leadership and extensive experience to help Montfort shine in its mission to be Ontario's francophone academic hospital.

It is with mixed emotion that Dr. Bernard Leduc, President and CEO of Hôpital Montfort, announced the upcoming departure of Mélanie Dubé, Vice President, Performance, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer.

Ms. Dubois Desroches will be responsible for the directions of Critical Care and Patient Flow; Perioperative Services; Medicine, Rehabilitation, Geriatrics programs and Therapeutic Services; and the Family Birthing Centre.

On the occasion of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Specialized Nurses Week, Montfort highlights the publication of an extensive wound care manual co-directed by Valérie Chaplain, a nurse specialized in wound, ostomy and continence care at the hospital.

Ms Éthier will be appointed the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Institut du Savoir Montfort and Vice President of Research and Education at Hôpital Montfort, starting May 1st 2023.
