Montfort announces the appointment of Dr. Chantal D’Aoust-Bernard as Chief of Staff, effective June 17th.

As part of National Nursing Week, Hôpital Montfort and the Archipel Ontario Health Team (OHT) had the honor of hosting Dr. Grinspun, Chief Executive Officer of the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO).

Following a reassessment of the risk levels, Montfort is making a change to its mask-wearing guidelines.

On the anniversary of the Great Rally of 1997 to protect the hospital from closure, Montfort presented the March 22 Medal to Dr. Bernard Leduc, who served as President and CEO of the hospital from 2010 to 2023.

Today, the Honourable Bill Blair, Minister of National Defence, Marie-France Lalonde, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Mona Fortier, Member of Parliament for Ottawa-Vanier, and Dominic Giroux, president and CEO of Hôpital Montfort and Santé Montfort, announced the extension of the agreement between the Department of National Defence and Santé Montfort until 2032.

The three organisations embark on an extensive consultation process at Montfort, in the region, and across the province as part of the hospital's provincial mandate, to develop a 2024-2028 strategic plan that will guide them towards Montfort's 75th anniversary.

This is the fifth time that Montfort receives this recognition, which recognizes employers offering exceptional workplaces in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.

Montfort is recruiting new members for its association. The Association consists of up to 100 volunteer members, acting as the hospital’s ambassadors and dedicated to upholding the mission and vision of Montfort as a francophone academic hospital.

Ottawa Public Health (OPH) and local hospitals including: The Ottawa Hospital, Queensway Carleton Hospital, Hôpital Montfort, CHEO, Bruyère, The Royal and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute are urging eligible residents, especially those at higher risk, to receive their updated COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza (flu) vaccine as soon as possible.
