Ophthalmology
The clinic primarily perform cataract surgeries, including implants of soft (flexible) aspheric, toric or multifocal lenses. A few surgeons also provide ultra-specialized services related to glaucoma and the anterior segment of the eye (trabeculectomy and pterygium ablation, for example).
We are active four days a week, performing approximately 2,000 procedures per year. Our unit includes six members. In addition to our dedicated team of specialized nurses, we also have a respiratory therapist assigned to intraoperative patient monitoring.
Please note that a medical referral is mandatory. The referral must be sent to the doctor's office, not to Hôpital Montfort.
