Delegation of authority

To comply with the 2010 Broader Public Sector Accountability Act, the Board of Trustees must ensure that internal control procedures are adequate and that they protect Hôpital Montfort, its patients, staff and other persons involved in its daily operations.

The Board of Trustees instituted a policy (in French only) that includes mechanisms for delegating decision-making authority to the most appropriate decision-making level. All employees, physicians and volunteers are required to comply with the internal control rules in force.

Hôpital Montfort ensures that all expenses are properly authorized by the appropriate authority.
