Today, the Honourable Bill Blair, Minister of National Defence, Marie-France Lalonde, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Mona Fortier, Member of Parliament for Ottawa-Vanier, and Dominic Giroux, president and CEO of Hôpital Montfort and Santé Montfort, announced the extension of the agreement between the Department of National Defence and Santé Montfort until 2032.

The three organisations embark on an extensive consultation process at Montfort, in the region, and across the province as part of the hospital's provincial mandate, to develop a 2024-2028 strategic plan that will guide them towards Montfort's 75th anniversary.

This is the fifth time that Montfort receives this recognition, which recognizes employers offering exceptional workplaces in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.

Montfort is recruiting new members for its association. The Association consists of up to 100 volunteer members, acting as the hospital’s ambassadors and dedicated to upholding the mission and vision of Montfort as a francophone academic hospital.
