Accreditation Canada: double recognition for Montfort
For the third time, Montfort reaches the highest recognition level in the country, in addition to another unique certification in Canada
Ottawa - January 26, 2023 – Hôpital Montfort has been granted accreditation with exemplary standing for the third time by Accreditation Canada. In addition, Montfort is the first organization in Canada to receive a certificate of participation in the Official Languages Recognition Program (OLRP).
Accreditation Canada is an independent organization that evaluates over 1,000 health and social service organizations and 12,000 sites in Canada and around the world. Accreditation is a continuous improvement process culminating in a peer review.
Five surveyors from Accreditation Canada conducted an inspection of Montfort from November 28 to December 2, 2022. At the conclusion of this visit, the assigned compliance rate with the required standards was 2052 out of 2055, or 99.85%.
The visitors testified that the patient is really at the heart of Montfort's concerns. Among other things, the Accreditation surveyors’ report highlighted the collaboration between teams, the experience and resilience of staff, the many innovative projects, and the rigorous processes.
Montfort is also the first Canadian organization to receive a certificate of participation in the Official Languages Recognition Program, a new program by Accreditation Canada aiming to prevent or reduce language barriers in health and social services.
