Montfort among the 50 best Canadian hospitals

Ottawa, March 2nd, 2022 - It is with great pride that the Montfort team learnt that the academic hospital made the list of the Canada's Best 100 Hospitals, as established by the prestigious American magazine Newsweek.

Montfort continues to climb up in the ranking, placing 49th out of the 100 best Canadian hospitals. In 2019, Montfort was in 64th position, and in 2021, in 55th across Canadian hospitals.

The Montfort team is made up of dedicated people who, day after day, take concrete action to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and our community. We receive this honour with great pride, but most of all with great appreciation for the work of our staff and their commitment to our patients and their families.

To do the ranking, Newsweek evaluated over 2,300 hospitals in 28 countries. The final ranking was based on four data sources: recommendations from medical experts, based on feedback from 80,000 doctors, hospital managers and health professionals; results from patient surveys; medical key performance indicators; and results from PROMs surveys.

Newsweek's list of the World's Best Hospitals can be found on Newsweek’s website.
