Carl Nappert succeeds to Suzanne Clément
New Chair for the Association de l’Hôpital Montfort
Ottawa, June 21, 2018 – During the Association de l’Hôpital Montfort’s Annual General Meeting, held on Wednesday, June 20, members of the Association confirmed the appointment of Mr. Carl Nappert as Chair. Mr. François Brouard was named as Treasurer. Ms Andrée-Anne Martel remains Vice-Chair and Ms Mariette Carrier-Fraser remains secretary for the Board of Trustees.
Mr. Carl Nappert has been Executive Vice-President of Maplesoft Group since 2001. He completed his studies in business administration with a specialization in marketing and international business at the Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa, and he now sits on the Consultative Council of the Telfer School of Management. He has been a member of the Montfort’s Board of Trustees since June 2016 and he was treasurer in 2017-18.
Currently a full professor at the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University, where he teaches accounting and taxation, Mr. François Brouard is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant and a Fellow Chartered Accountant. He is the founding director of the Sprott Centre for Social Enterprises. He is a member of the Governance Committee of Société Santé en français and a member of Montfort’s Board of Trustees since June 2017.
Mr. Luc Généreux, Ms Marie-Josée Martel, Ms Lucie Mercier-Gauthier, Mr. Jean-Guy Perron and Mr. Jean Ste-Marie have also joined the Board of Trustees as regular members. As CEO of the Institut du Savoir Montfort, our knowledge institute, Dr. André Bilodeau becomes an ex-officio member of the Board.
During the AGM, Mr. Carl Nappert and Dr. Bernard Leduc, Montfort’s President and Chief Executive Officer, thanked Ms Suzanne Clément, outgoing president, for her invaluable contribution to Hôpital Montfort, Ontario’s Francophone academic hospital.
