Become a member of Montfort’s Association

Ottawa, February 4, 2026 – Montfort is recruiting new members for its association.

The 100 members of the Association serve as ambassadors for Hôpital Montfort. They support Montfort in its vision of a bold Francophonie for healthy communities and in its mission to provide exemplary care centred on individuals and communities as Ontario’s francophone academic hospital. They also reflect the great diversity of the communities served by Montfort in terms of cultures, genders, and geographic sectors.

The Association is seeking to recruit individuals who meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Qualification in governance or experience in governance within organizations of comparable scope ;
  • Ability to eventually assume the chairmanship of a committee or the chairmanship of the Board of Directors starting in 2030, and to represent the Hospital with poise and conviction among peers in a context of transformation and budget pressures ;
  • Experience in the private sector ;
  • Person of African descent or Indigenous person ;
  • Expertise in information technology, cybersecurity or artificial intelligence.
     

We warmly invite people from Indigenous, ethnocultural, black and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities or living with a handicap, as well as representatives of youth and recognized Francophiles to express their interest. We encourage residents from the United Counties of Prescott and Russell, who may be interested, to also apply. In addition, the Association would welcome people from other parts of Ontario.

Members of the Association are eligible to become members of the Montfort’s Board of Directors and to sit on various committees of the board, as well as to participate within working groups.
