Let's think about the future of Montfort, with you, for you
Montfort, Ontario's francophone academic hospital, Savoir Montfort, a knowledge institute, and Santé Montfort are launching a joint strategic planning process. To this end, we embark on an extensive consultation process at Montfort, in the region, and across the province as part of our provincial mandate, to develop a 2024-2028 strategic plan that will guide us towards Montfort's 75th anniversary.
Join us for public conferences and consultations to reflect on the future of health care, teaching and research in the region, and across Ontario's francophonie.

Making strategic choices for 2024–2028
At Montfort, we honour the past, celebrate the present and strive to build the future.
The mission we gave our teams is clear: come up with a strategic plan of no more than seven pages that articulates a shared vision, a distinct mission for each of our three organizations, our values, five or so key unifying goals and about 15 concrete outcomes to attain by 2028.
The “season of ideas”
Here we are in 2024. A pandemic shook the country’s health services. Every hospital in North American is dealing with human resources challenges. The population of Ottawa and Eastern Ontario will grow by 210 000 people in the next 10 years, 80 000 of whom will be 65 years of age or over. Artificial intelligence is taking its place in clinical and research activities.
We need to act now to envision our future.
The future of Montfort – with you, for you
From February to April, you’ll be invited to public seminars, targeted consultations and electronic brainstorming sessions. In May, the three boards of directors will start to make choices.
In June, our 2024–2028 Strategic Plan Steering Committee, with its 30 or so members, will put the finishing touches on a draft of the strategic plan. During the summer, this draft will be posted publicly at the hospital for validation.
In September, a final strategic plan will be recommended by the Steering Committee for approval in October by the three boards of directors, with a launch date in November.
