Montfort amongst the Top Employers of the National Capital Region

Ottawa - February 1, 2018 - Hôpital Montfort is proud to be named once again as one of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers, as announced today by the editors of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. It is the third time the academic hospital is making the list since 2015.

The prize’s advisory board highlighted several reasons for choosing Montfort, such as the awarding of the awards, which celebrate the commitment of staff members and their contributions to research, teaching and exemplary care. The selection committee also underlined how Montfort invests in ongoing employee education and offers opportunities for students and new grads to gain on-the-job experience.

The annual National Capital Region's Top Employers competition recognizes employers that provide exceptional workplaces and offer the most progressive and forward-thinking programs compared with other organizations in their field.

The rigorous selection process is overseen by an advisory board that evaluates the organizations according to specific criteria. To place in the Top Employers, organizations must be leaders in their field in terms of physical workplace; work atmosphere and social life; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.

Montfort is Ontario’s Francophone Academic Hospital, offering exemplary person-centred care. Thanks to its partnership with the Institut du Savoir Montfort, a knowledge institute, Montfort has joined the ranks of Canada’s top 40 research hospitals.
