Concert celebrating 20 years of Franco-Ontarian Solidarity and Innovation
Ottawa, February 27, 2017 – The Montfort Hospital Foundation invites the community to a concert celebrating the Franco-Ontarian Solidarity, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 7:30 p.m., at TD Place (Landsdowne Park) – 1015, Bank Street in Ottawa.
" I will never forget the Historic Rally on March 22, 1997 whereas more than 10,000 people gathered at Lansdowne Park to save the Montfort Hospital. This is a day that will forever be anchored in the Franco-Ontarian history", said Mrs. Gisèle Lalonde, President at the time of the SOS Montfort Movement.
" The Historic Rally paved the way to 20 years of great achievements and 20 years of excellence in healthcare. Twenty years later, Montfort has become Ontario’s Francophone Academic Hospital and what better time to celebrate together", declared Dr. Bernard Leduc, President & CEO of the Montfort Hospital.
Several Franco-Ontarian artists will recreate the successes that lit up the crowd in 1997, amongst those: Damien Robitaille, Robert Paquette, Chuck Labelle, Jean-Marc Lalonde, Serge Monette, Gabrielle Goulet, Yao and Moonfruits.

Incorporated in 1986, the Montfort Hospital Foundation is an essential development tool for the Montfort Hospital. The funds raised by the Foundation serve to modernize the hospital's medical equipment, restore infrastructure, add to essential services, and support the Teaching and Research mandate of Hôpital Montfort.
