Montfort, one of the top employers of the national capital region

Ottawa, Wednesday January 29, 2020 – The Montfort academic hospital is proud to be named once again as one of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers, as announced today by the editors of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. It is the fourth time the academic hospital is making the list since 2015.

The award selection committee highlighted several reasons for choosing Montfort, such as training opportunities, recognition activities such as the Montfort Angels and the annual staff award ceremony, as well as the pension fund.

The annual National Capital Region's Top Employers competition recognizes employers that provide exceptional workplaces and offer the most progressive and forward-thinking programs compared with other organizations in their field. The rigorous selection process is overseen by an advisory board that evaluates the organizations according to specific criteria.

To place in the Top Employers, organizations must be leaders in their field in terms of physical workplace; work atmosphere and social life; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.

Thanks to its partnership with the Institut du Savoir Montfort, a knowledge institute, Montfort has joined the ranks of Canada’s top 40 research hospitals. The daily actions of the Montfort team are guided by compassion, respect, mutual support, excellence and accountability. In 2019, it was named one of the world’s top 1000 hospitals.
