Montfort continues to stand out among the region’s best employers

Ottawa, March 3, 2026 – Montfort, Ontario’s Francophone academic hospital, has once again been named one of the National Capital Region’s top employers in Mediacorp’s annual rankings. The year 2026 marks Montfort’s seventh appearance on the list, which highlights employers offering exceptional workplaces in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. 

This distinction highlights the innovative elements that make Montfort a sought-after workplace and an environment that strives to be caring, diverse and inclusive. Among the highlights of the past year are the adoption of electronic schedules allowing for greater flexibility at work, an increase in professional development opportunities, and the expansion of staff wellness initiatives.

As part of its 2024-2028 Strategic Plan, one of Montfort’s objectives is to innovate to remain a sought-after environment, notably by implementing greater workplace flexibility and professional development initiatives.

About the competition 

The National Capital Region’s Top Employers competition was launched in 2006 to recognize Ottawa-Gatineau employers who are at the forefront of their field by offering exceptional workplaces. Mediacorp Canada Inc, the country’s largest publisher of employment-related periodicals, selects employers based on eight criteria: 1) workplace; 2) professional and social climate; 3) health services, compensation, and benefits; 4) vacation and other leaves; 5) staff communications; 6) performance management; 7) training and professional development; and 8) community involvement.
