Speech-language pathologists

Our speech-language pathologists (SLPs) are an essential part of the Therapeutic Services team. Our SLPs are health professionals who are known for their enthusiasm in developing the services they offer, recently opening an outpatient speech-language clinic for adults with speech, language, voice, and swallowing problems.

Our speech-language pathologists perform their duties as follows

  • Identification, assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice and swallowing problems among adults in a hospital and community setting
  • Training and education for patients, their caregivers and other health professionals, including students
  • Inter-professional team collaboration to better meet the needs of clients

The fact that I was present during this exciting time enabled and still enables me to grow on a personal level through recent training activities, professional development opportunities and guidance from highly respected colleagues. Every day I discover something new to enjoy about my profession and encounter new challenges.”
