Monique Potvin-Kent, PhD
Monique Potvin Kent, PhD is Assistant Professor at the School of Epidemiology, Public Health and Preventive Medicine at the University of Ottawa. She has a doctoral degree in population health, a master’s degree in psychology and a bachelor’s degree in political science. For the past eight years, her research has focused on the nutritional environment and obesity prevention. More specifically, she studies policies that affect food consumption and weight. Her research examines exposure among children to food marketing on television and online, the nutritional value of the marketed products, nutritional labelling and nutritional knowledge.
