The Montfort Hospital Foundation joins the Casino du Lac-Leamy sound of light for an explosive partnership!
Ottawa, July 19, 2016 – The Montfort Hospital Foundation is proud to join the Casino du Lac-Leamy Sound of Light for its 2016 edition, which will take place from August 6 to 20.
TThe Montfort Hospital Foundation is pleased to welcome spectators right across the Gatineau’s Canadian Museum of History in Ottawa at the Nepean Point. This elevated point is a fantastic location to see the fireworks, offering a front row view!
Enjoy five evenings of pyromusical art: Saturday, August 6, 2016 - China, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 - Netherlands, Saturday, August 13, 2016 - Estonia, Wednesday, August 17, 2016 - Australia and, Saturday, August 20, 2016 for the Grand Finale.
Admission is $8 per person and free for children of 11 years of age and younger accompanied by a ticket holder. Tickets are available at the Montfort Hospital Foundation, located at the Montfort Hospital, room 2C203, 713 Montreal Road in Ottawa. Tickets will also be available at Nepean Point’s main gate, starting at 6 p.m. on the evenings of the shows. Profits generated by the ticket sale will be invested in the purchase of specialized medical equipment for the Montfort Hospital.
Nepean Point is located on St. Patrick Street, behind the National Gallery of Canada. The site opens at 6 p.m. and admission to the site is on a “first come, first serve” basis. Spectators are welcome to bring their chairs or blankets and coolers, however it is a non-smoking site and no alcoholic beverages are allowed. The live soundtrack will be broadcasted on location, courtesy of 94,9 Rouge fm.
Incorporated in 1986, the Montfort Hospital Foundation's mission is to solicit, receive, administer and expend funds and the income derived therefrom, for the purposes of developing, expanding and promoting healthcare in our community as well as research and teaching for the Montfort Hospital.
