Montfort Clinical Excellence Scholarships for French language consolidation practicum in Nursing!

Application process begins September 15th 2014.  Six scholarships of 3000$ each will be given to university nursing students who complete their practicum in one of the fields identified.  See the education link for more details.

Accreditation Canada International Comes By the Simulation Lab!
“It’s the nicest hospital in the region”, mentioned one of the visitors... Delegates from Accreditation Canada International visited Hôpital Montfort on June 25 during a knowledge exchange trip.

Simulation Learning Program recognized for its excellence
The Hôpital Montfort Simulation Learning Program has received a five-year accreditation from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. 

Montfort at 2013 CAPSAF Symposium​
Lynn Casimiro, Director of Professional and Interprofessional Education, and Dr. Lyne Pitre, Director of Medical Education with the Academic Affairs Branch of Hôpital Montfort, presented the results of an innovative project centred on the active offer of care in French at the 2013 CAPSAF Symposium.

Simulation laboratory
The simulation laboratory is a new training tool in use at Hôpital Montfort. It can recreate hundreds of scenarios covering every possibility and improve patient safety. The goal is to deliver 400 training sessions a year in order to provide unique opportunities for hands-on learning.  

Activities in teaching: positive partnerships!
In the fall, the educational team of the department of Academic Affairs deployed several activities to meet the needs of health education for the benefit of French linguistic minority communities in addition to establishing and strengthening links with educational institutions and community partners.
