Danik Lafond, PhD

Danik Lafond has a doctoral degree in human kinetics from the Université de Montréal. He is currently assistant professor and director of the Kinesiology Clinic at the Université de Montréal. His research agenda centres on the fear-avoidance model applied to musculoskeletal disorders (MKT) with aging and with type 2 diabetes (DT2) and the interconnections between quality control of the health problem (MKT pain or glycemia), psychosocial factors (perception of disability, fear of movement and barriers). The level of participation in physical activities and their respective impact on physical and functional ability are the focus of study.
