Hôpital Montfort recognised for its quality of life at work
Ottawa, November 12, 2014 – Hôpital Montfort receives another important acknowledgement, this time as a hospital of choice for the quality of life at work it offers to its 1750 members of staff. The hospital was honoured to receive a Silver award during the 2014 edition of the Quality Healthcare Workplace Awards which took place last week in Toronto. It is the second year in a row the hospital reaches this level, following a first Silver award in 2013.
Launched in 2010 by the Ontario Hospital Association in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s HealthForceOntario, the award program recognizes organizational efforts to improve healthcare workplaces in ways that contribute to providers’ quality of work-life and the quality of the care and services they deliver.
“This recognition by our peers comes a few months after Montfort was awarded an Accreditation with Exemplary Standing by Accreditation Canada,” explained Dr. Bernard Leduc, CEO of Hôpital Montfort. “Both recognitions highlight that our pursuit for continuous improvement is bearing fruit and allows us to offer a healthy workplace.”
Hôpital Montfort is a francophone university health institution that offers quality care in both official languages. With its partners, it contributes to improving the health of communities.
