Hôpital Montfort presented with a Silver Award by OHA
The academic hospital is recognized by the Ontario Hospital Association for its quality of life at work and its environmental progress
Ottawa, Tuesday, November 3, 2015 – For the third year in a row, Hôpital Montfort was honoured to receive a Silver Award during the 2015 edition of the Quality Healthcare Workplace Awards, handed by the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) on Tuesday, November 3 in Toronto as part of the HealthAchieve provincial conference.
Launched in 2010 by the Ontario Hospital Association in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the award program recognizes organizational efforts to improve healthcare workplaces in ways that contribute to providers’ quality of work-life and the quality of the care and services they deliver.
Hôpital Montfort also reached Bronze status with its very first Green Hospital Scorecard. The report, also issued by OHA, highlights the main results of the hospital’s green initiatives, including for Energy Use and Water Use, which went down by 8.6% and 20.8% respectively between 2013 and 2014.
HealthAchieve is the signature conference of OHA. Taking place for over 90 years now, it brings together thousands of representatives from the health sector in Ontario and all across North America.
Hôpital Montfort is a Francophone academic health care institution that offers quality care in both official languages and works with its partners to improve the health of communities. Hôpital Montfort is designated as a Group A teaching hospital; it is accredited with exemplary standing from Accreditation Canada and is recognized as a Best Practice Spotlight Organization by the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO).
