Hôpital Montfort: Isabelle Daoust appointed Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees
Ottawa, August 29, 2016 – During the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association de l’Hôpital Montfort, held on June 15, 2015, members of the Association confirmed the appointment of Ms. Isabelle Daoust as Vice-Chair
Ms. Isabelle Daoust is currently Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of National Defence of Canada. With over 20 years of experience, Ms. Daoust has developed expertise in human rights, international law, government relations and public affairs. Ms. Daoust has devoted a large part of her career to the humanitarian and community sectors, having worked for the Red Cross in various contexts. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of Hôpital Montfort since June 2015. Ms. Andrée-Anne Martel and Mr. Carl Nappert are also new members of the Board of Trustees.
During the AGM, Ms. Suzanne Clément, Chair of the Board, and Dr. Bernard Leduc, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hôpital Montfort, thanked Ms. Mona Fortier, outgoing Vice-Chair of the Association de l’Hôpital Montfort, for her commitment, her vision and her leadership within the Association and the Board of the Trustees of the Hôpital Montfort. Ms. Fortier is now taking on new challenges as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Institut du savoir Montfort.

Hôpital Montfort is Ontario’s Francophone academic hospital, offering exemplary person-centred care. The hospital serves over 1.2 million people in Eastern Ontario, in both official languages. In 2014, it earned Accreditation with Exemplary Standing from Accreditation Canada, and was designated Best Practices Spotlight Organization by the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario.
