Isabelle Giroux PhD, RD, BEd, PHEc
Isabelle Giroux, Ph.D., is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a Professional Home Economist (PHEc). She is associate professor in the Honours Bachelor’s in Nutrition Science program and Assistant Director of the School of Nutrition Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, at the University of Ottawa. She is actively involved in professional affairs as a dietetic educator (since 2000), program surveyor (since 2008), member of the Accreditation Standards Development Working Group (2012-2014) of the Partnership for Dietetic Education and Practice (PDEP) of Canada, and co-Chair and dietetic educator representative on the PDEP Steering Committee (since 2015). She has also been president of the Regroupement des diététistes francophones de l’Ontario et du Canada [French network of dietitians of Ontario and Canada] (2007-2015). I. Giroux is a member of the Montfort Institut du savoir and conducts interdisciplinary research in the prevention and management of obesity and diabetes across the lifecycle.
