We offer a wide range of highly diversified care to our clients. Our clinical teams use the most advanced equipment and tools available in an inter-professional environment centred on best practices and an unconditional commitment to excellence.
We also stand apart by the healing values that guide our health care professionals. Montfort is a place where passion, enthusiasm and caring form what Dr. Bernard Leduc, our President and Chief Executive Officer, calls “an unbroken chain of compassion at all times".
The people who receive ambulatory care and services (non-hospitalized patients) come for diagnostic tests, regular treatments or specialized medical consultations. The expressions "ambulatory" or "outpatient” are used to differentiate them from hospitalized patients receiving care.
Patients seen in the Ambulatory Care Unit regularly return to the Hospital for treatment. Furthermore, the Unit monitors the care or services provided to many patients seen in the Emergency Department.
The doctors working in the Ambulatory Care Unit also help accomplish our teaching mission by acting as preceptors among students and residents. The Unit also maintains close teaching-related ties with the Family Medicine Unit and Geriatric Clinic.
